The short story: Hi, I'm Helen. I live in the beautiful Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia with my husband and our daughter erin (the last of our 3 little nestlings), along with a myaid of animals including cows, chickens, 2 piggies (muffin and puddin - soon to be mothers of my homemade proscuitto and bacon), 3 cats, a dog and a horse. I discovered Zentangle in May 2012 whilst surfing online. Saw it! Loved it! Found Tangle Patterns and madly worked on creating a log of all the patterns. Found the Zentangle Flickr Group to share my pictures, the diva challenges to push myself in new directions and connect with others. I haven't gone a day without drawing since. Yes, I am compulsive!

I decided to start this blog in August 2012 so that I could personalise my sharing space.

My style: I love to incorporate zentangle patterns in different ways in my drawings, sometimes to create something a little unexpected. I am mad for flowers and like to draw them, finding ways to use patterns either within the flowers, or to accompany them, and still maintain a "naturalistic" look.

I am a minimalist at heart, and find it an exciting challenge to be able to work with pattern intensive designs that retain simple, clean lines. I also love to share knowledge, so I hope that you come back often to see what's new.
